Were the World Mine
Tanner Cohen plays the role of Timothy in this delightful gay adaptation of William Shakespear's "A Midsummer Night's Dream.” Timothy is an out gay teenager going to an all boy's private school in a small homophobic town. The main character comes into a position of power when he takes on the part of Puck the prankster on stage and also off by using a love potion on the residents of his community. Dressed up with faery wings made out of his mother's wedding dress he travels around using his new found magic to make people fall in love with the first person of the same sex that they see.

Were the World Mine is based on Tom Gustafson's award winning short film called "Fairies" and has become one of my favorite movies that I recommend strongly to all. The singing and acting is very good and the story is energetic and captivating. Wendy Robie plays the role of the drama teacher and as chaos ensues she pulls the strings of this story together in an artful and well acted way. Relive you high school days placing yourself in Timothy's shoes. Who would you anoint with "faery dust"!
